Warhawks!

Sounds like a team of cartoon heroes, doesn't it?

How pathetic is the reality?

Ah, the insanity of this fear mongering knows no end, evidently.

Just think, when I was a new nurse, every station had a jar of these horrific weapons of mass destruction... soaking in alcohol.

I don't remember anyone being worried about it then. And nobody died either...

We're not going to make it. Are we?

Just think, these young people now in our mis-education system will be our leaders in a few years.

No Fred, I don't think we are going to make it.

It could have been worse. There is much more mercury in a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure measurement) or in a mercurial barometric pressure weather instrument than in an ordinary fever thermometer.

Messing around with mercury was part of the curriculum when I was in school...we learned useless stuff like how to handle it safely, the proper personal protective equipment to use, and how to clean it up in the process of learning about it.

Of course, if there's a single, aggressive goat outside the school you apparently herd all of the students into the cafeteria these days...we would have been watching it from the windows and a few of the FFA guys would have went outside and roped it.

It's a damned GOAT you morons! What I saw described is almost EXACTLY how goats behave. they tend to be fairly ornery creatures. Keep everyone inside until it's secured and carry on with your day, why does EVERY single situation devolve into abject panic anymore?

What would they have done if he'd brought in uranium?
