A Suicide Pact

The head of the state's largest teachers' union said she expects her board to take an official position against proposals that would allow teachers to carry guns. [More
That's actually fine with me as long as they have no say over the rest of us. Anyone dumb enough to support this is probably too selfish, stupid and cowardly to be trusted with a gun anyway.

Of course the UNION is opposed to that, the union leadership is reliably Democrat. I would be willing to bet that there are many teachers who would support such a measure, though.
As if the union speaks for all teachers.

I remember when the union was for the people now I don't know.

Some questions for those that say not to allow teachers to be armed.

Do they think that teachers are not as competent and trainable as police?

Are police just smarter and more capable that teachers?

Are police more trustworthy than teachers?

Why pay for additional personnel when you already have capable personnel on site? Especially when all budgets are already strained. I thought most law enforcements agencies were having to cut back. How are they going to suddenly find funds for additional resource officers?

Just some simple, common sense questions that I know will never be answered by them.
