I am convinced that when the rebellion/revolution starts, eveyone wearing a badge - FLEAS, local cops, even security guards will immediately become targets. Any LEO or FLEA still wearing a badge after the shooting starts will be perceived as a fedgov loyalist/stooge and their lives won't be worth a thimble full of uncooked white rice. I expect them in many/most cases to be shot on sight. If they continue to wear the badge and uniform, they will deserve it.
