I see a conundrum here They want to sell bullet resistant backpacks to the kids, but they have outlawed body armor for the peons because crooks have used it Catch 22
As an adult I can see that any situation where a bullet proof backpack might be help it would have to be one component of a system, otherwise by itself it would still be useless. However if I had received a bulletproof backpack as a gift when I was a kid, I would have thought it was the coolest present ever!
