Gun Crazy

I never have understood why some in the pro-gun camp give Winkler the time of day, let alone invite him to address their gatherings. [More]

It just hit me, that saying "well regulated" means "controlled by the state" means that the state would be in control of the militia's guns Couple that thinking with"shall not be infringe" makes the 2A self-contradictory So that cannot be true about "well regulated"

"Well regulated" meaning "controlled by government actors" has nothing to do with terminology in use at the time of the writing if the Constitution.

It's only because of the idiocy of Congress eschewing its duty and allowing agencies to adopt their own "regulations" regarding how the law is enforced that progressives "believe" that nonsense.

It's much more likely (a fact) that "well regulated" is more akin to "regulated" meaning, for instance, the regulation firearm is one in common usage at the time, is well maintained, sighted in, and is primarily for a military purpose.

Meaning that a modern military firearm in common usage, including ammunition and accoutrements, which firearms and associated necessities are in good repair and ready for action, is being used, in general, by all Militia, at the time.

That's just something the anti's aren't willing to deal with, as it points to the EBR's which terrify them so.
