Defeat Garden

Oh, I see, Michelle's garden "fell victim." Dysfunctional rot at the White House can't be  blamed on its caretakers.  [More]

Ed makes an excellent point. Seeing as how she has no Constitutional duties, how many dishes has the First Housewife washed since the administration began furloughing "non-essential workers"? How many toilets has she scrubbed?

At least we know what's "essential".

A lot of southern plantation owners had similar complaints about their vegetable gardens in the 1860's.

Weeding the family garden was the responsibility of my siblings and myself when we were growing up.

You can be sure that the volunteer cutting the grass around the Lincoln Memorial will not be cutting the White House lawn, or weeding Michelle's garden:
