This appears to be another example of the Law of Unintended Consequences. It would appear that these police officers are being trained to execute anyone not in a police uniform who dares to be lawfully armed. Given that, then it would be reasonable for anybody who lawfully possesses a weapon and is not uniformed to initiate fire when police arrive to avoid their own certain death from the unlawful executioners. Juries may also come to the same conclusion and not convict people for acting lawfully. Police officers would also be reasonable to understand that they have become executioners and must accept the consequences of their actions. My best advice to them would be to go home safely to their families, and stay there, rather than participate in the executions and the consequences.
