We're the Only Ones All Choked Up Enough

In Florida, Non-Submission to a Police Beating is “Attempted Murder” [More]
Uh-oh, I'm in trouble now.  Last time I posted a Grigg article link, I was accused of having an "anti-police stance."

Horrors. Bad me. Bad.

That said, I probably shouldn't have used the "f" word in my response.

Pretty appropriate use of eff word, IMO.

It is now clear, what with the ubiquity of mobile phone cameras and other recording devices, that abusive police are all over the place. Debating how prevalent the thugs are is an unnecessary distraction: those cops who are not thugs tolerate and cover up for those who abuse their power.

Does that make me anti-cop? Yes. Police culture has become dishonorable and contemptible.

To those police who regard themselves as honorable, and as providing service and protection to your neighbors, I challenge you all to stand up and loudly proclaim that you will no longer tolerate fellow officers who abuse their position. Pledge that if the forces are not purged of thugs that you will resign, and follow through. Otherwise, you've become, in current pop language, enablers; in cop language, abettors of the perps.

I agree with Ned. Considering the escalating psychotic behavior of praetorian hogs, the 'F'-word seems pretty damn tame. I look forward to the day when these Halloween-costume-clad SOB's are put back on equal legal footing with the rest of us (like a couple of states have already done to some degree, and the way it used to be), their supposed employers! I keep wondering when we start fighting back and defending ourselves like adults from these predators, on equal legal grounds, instead of cringing on the ground like grubs. Continue on with the judicious use of the 'F'-word!

That was either a cop or a cop apologist who exploded with those ridiculous charges. If we point out the futility of intervention in Muslim nations like Iraq, does that mean we are anti soldier?
