In Refusing to Consider Marine’s Ordeal, SCOTUS Weakens Deterrents to Hearsay Commitments

Disregard the fact that the guy who provided "expert" opinion only talked to the police, and not to the guy he was sending up the river. The courts all say Raub has no recourse to pursue damages. Which means why should any "official" give a damn? It's not like there are repercussions for bad calls.
