What Have We Learned from This?

In September 2014, while he was at work, she removed his AR-15 rifle from his apartment “as collateral” for $50 that she claimed he owed her. After Carroll called the police, NCPD officers not only confiscated the rifle from the mother’s apartment, but also seized two other long guns and a magazine belonging to Carroll and found in the house. There's got to be a lesson in here somewhere. But what?

We have learned what I have know for decades - (including working in the legal profession):

1.Every court system is potentially corrupt. NO judge should ever win a vote for re-election.

2.We are rapidly running out of nonviolent remedies.

3.Any violent alternative really sucks. VOTE THE JUDGES OUT. Always. I don't care if they're your neighbor. It's about inertia. Figure that out yourself.

I learned (AGAIN) don't call the cops 'cause cops suck.

To even begin to make a dent in the corrupt "justice" system, every judge, prosecutor, asst.prosecutor, and clerk of courts would have to be limited to one term in office.
Policies such as this one would have to be banned-period,no exceptions.
The taking of citizens property without due process is a blatant violation of our Constitution-yet it is allowed, even encouraged.
Cops have websites dedicated to teaching other cops how to pick which cars to pull over, how to get permission to search the cars, and if that fails, they get a "drug sniffing" dog to come to the scene, which of course 'alerts" to the "presence of drugs" on command from it's handler.
They also keep score to see who "wins" by seizing the most property and $$$ from citizens-bonus points if they run the plate, discover the car's owner is a CCW permit holder, and seize a firearm.
The entire system is rotten to the core-between robbing us on the highways, and policies that allow townships/cities to confiscate firearms without any valid reason.
Where's the due process prior to confiscating the man's firearms?
Idiotic policies like this should have been prohibited by those with common sense-of which there appears to be a lack of-both common sense, and those who have it.
Then there's the whole living with mommy thing, and calling the cops on your mother? WTF kind of moron does that?
