If Chris had grown up in a liberal household, he would have run to the kitchen and grabbed a can of chili to throw at the perp. And we would have been reading an article about his unsolved and mysterious murder.
Good going, Chris. Congratulations, Mom and Dad. Tough luck, creep.
How stories get reported sometimes is more interesting than the story itself. For example, check out the tone of Esquire’s reporting:
http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/videos/a44463/11-year-old-shot-intruder/
The Washington Post adds a few more details, such as the burglar descending the stairs armed with a handgun. Note there is no indication that the burglar ever dropped his weapon and whether it was real or fake:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2016/05/01/he-started-crying-like-a-little-baby-11-year-old-brags-about-shooting-suspected-home-invader/
By actually hitting his intended moving target at least once without changing a magazine, the 11 year old possibly shoots better than an NYPD officer.
Understand that this burglary occurred before 9:30 AM last Wednesday morning, April 27, with the identity of the burglar not yet revealed. Nobody is openly questioning why the identity is still withheld.
