I have no idea if this will be useful at getting links shared and articles read, but giving this a try probably won't hurt (much), and these people seem to be more privacy-oriented than Facebook (not that any "social media" should actually be used for social purposes). Whether this will be a tool that will help me spread the word, as opposed to a distraction and a time-waster, remains to be seen.

Just mentioning that Julie Golub is on MeWe and some of us who follow her have also joined. That said I admit I don't visit there too often.
