What a debasing of the word "hunger."

Too bad I’m not a Yale alumnus — I’d send them a “symbolic” annual donation check.
Wait... You're doing something that I dont like, so I'm going to quit eating? What exactly does that accomplish except to show the world how stupid I am & maybe I lose some weight. That'll teach you a lesson, huh?
If your cause is proving that the graduate assistants are just a source of slave labor and that the university doesn't give two shits about them, then the only point of a hunger strike is to slowly kill yourself while the university ignores your plight so that you can prove your point and become a martyr to the cause.
If you aren't willing to die for your cause, a "hunger strike" just makes you look like a petulant fool. If it's a fake hunger strike, well, then you're a laughing stock too.
As endorsed by Delores Huerta. That says it all.
Hahahaha. I see that the college GOP club is having a Barbeque right next to the hunger strike, hopefully upwind.
