Don't forget Sean Penn. A convicted felon who went to prison for beating his then wife Madonna, he much later publicly stated that he melted his personal gun collection down.
Wait - a convicted felon was able to own a gun ? Oh yeah, but only after he paid lawyers to get the conviction expunged off the record. No Special Snowflake here - move along citizen.
Penn was never arrested and convicted over the felony allegations.
