MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski said Monday on the show that supporters of the Second Amendment who don’t want to talk about gun control in the wake of Sunday’s mass Texas church shooting are “cowards” — even though two armed Texans reportedly chased the gunman down. [More]And what would Mika have been able to do about it had it been her who encountered the monster? What would Mourning Joe have been able to do?
Aside from popping their respective Rapexes?
Still, expect this "gun owners are cowards"meme to gain some traction for a while in the narrative talking point lexicon.
UPDATE: I wonder if things would have turned out differently had Lori Klausutis been armed or if that would have just made her a "coward"...

That CNN babe who was in a hotel with her husband and shot the guy holding them at gunpoint should give her side of that opinion.
the second amendment is not about hunting, or how many bullets your deer rifle can hold, or how fast a hunting rifle can fire.
the second amendment is there to ensure the general population has the means to overthrow the government should the government over step it's limits, as set down by the constitution, and/or become a dictatorship/tyranny. an unarmed/poorly armed citizenship canno do this.
the second amendment also ensures the other amendments in the bill of rights are not lightly abridged. so, if you appreciate your right to protest freely, thank and support the second amendment, for without the second, the rest will be taken away in short order
The problem with Mika's statement is that there are PLENTY of us Second Amendment supporters who are perfectly willing to talk about "gun control" vs. gun rights in the wake of any shooting, but ESPECIALLY as it pertains to Sutherland Springs, TX.
Just like that "national conversation" the antis claim they want to have in the wake of ANY "mass shooting". We've been having it, while they've been ignoring it -- when they haven't been actively shutting it down ("reasoned discourse") -- because fact-based conversations never go the direction they want.
We're out here, we're public, and we're giving our piece. If she's choosing not to acknowledge us, that's either willful ignorance or outright lies on her part.
