Trump Pentagon Health System Pick’s Opinion on Guns Shows He is Unsuitable for Position

“I’d also like to, and I may get in trouble with other members of the committee, just say how insane it is that in the United States of America a civilian can go out and buy a semi-automatic assault rifle like an AR-15, which apparently was the weapon that was used,” retired Air Force Colonel Dean Winslow, President Donald Trump’s nominee to head the military’s health care system, told the Senate Armed Services Committee... My message to the White House:

"Dear Mr. President:

I have thoroughly reviewed the nomination for head of the Department of Defense Health System, Colonel Dean Winslow. I'm beyond troubled by his failure to recognize the basics of the US Constitution's protection of the right to self defense codified in the Second Amendment within the Bill of Rights.

As a retired officer of the US Army, I cannot fathom Colonel Winslow's failure, however that failure disqualifies him utterly for the post for which he has been nominated.

Kind regards,

Pat A. Hines, Captain, Army Nurse Corps, USAR, Retired"

Another disgrace to the uniform that willfully wants to violate the oath he took.

An arrogant aristocrat who thinks the peasants should be disarmed. The military's health care system should be run by the likes of him? That's just plain nuts, and an invitation to trouble. He is eminently unsuited for the job.

I chimed in too for all the good it'll do.
