Taken for Granted

The Constitution Gives Gun Owners Greater Rights Than Women [More]
No, in fact it does not, you ignoranus.

But it would be a total waste of time to explain why that is to such as these.  Hell, trying to do just that -- to gun owners -- resulted in angry outbusts questioning my loyalties and my intellect.

Any gun owner who can't say "US v Cruikshank" at the drop of a hat, then answer any questions about the case's relevance to the old "Constitution and/or Bill of Rights and/or Second Amendment grants" cliche either is not really a supporter of the Second Amendment or has not yet educated them self enough to do the job as effectively as they should wish to do it.

In short, RKBA existed well before Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, it predates the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Federal Government that those documents established. If the Second Amendment were repealed, if the entire federal Government ceased to exist, RKBA would still be there, and be just as valid as ever.
