We're the Only Ones Live-Streaming Enough

Police officers wearing new cameras by Axon, the U.S.’s largest body camera supplier, will soon be able to send live video from their cameras back to base and elsewhere, potentially enhancing officers’ situational awareness and expanding police surveillance. [More]
So will they remove the ability for officers to switch cameras off and make all recordings available for citizen review?

Cops will never lose their off switch. Departments will always find some excuse that involves protecting some citizen’s “privacy,” such as rape victims, CIs, HIPAA, or whatever. That off button will be a permanent fixture.
