This is what happens when totalitarian progressives devise "common sense" rules based on nothing more than whatever will achieve their desires of the moment. They claim the rules should be one thing one day, then another day the rules should be 180° reversed.

Just like Bill Clinton voided tens of thousands of FFLs belonging to people who "really weren't in the BUSINESS" of selling firearms... then Barack Obama threatened to require FFLs of people "selling as few as one gun per year." Just like prominent Democrats supported immigration limits ten years ago, now they declare there should be no limits at all.

"What rule will hurt this guy we hate? Then that's the rule."
