Why Isn’t the NRA Screaming About the Bump Stock Ban?
Good question. [More]
We know why.
The rest of this is about what you'd expect from this appropriately-named and fearful little bigot.

Well, we could start with the fact that, self serving stretching of the truth notwithstanding, the NRA is a pro hunter, pro gun safety (in the original meaning), pro marksmanship organization.
It is not, has never been, and probably never will be a pro 2A organization.
And I say that from the perspective of an Endowment Member of the NRA who has been a member since the 1960's.
Imagine for a moment what our nation would be like if the NRA, an organization with something like 5 million members, were to truly support 2A.
Paraphrasing former President Jimmy Carter, if being a 2A supporter was a crime, and the NRA was accused of being one, would there be enough evidence to bring a conviction in a court of law?
Sadly, IMHO, the answer would be no.
Which, incidentally, is mandated in the Bylaws Purposes and Objectives:
“To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, especially with reference to the inalienable right of the individual American citizen guaranteed by such Constitution to acquire, possess, collect, exhibit, transport, carry, transfer ownership of, and enjoy the right to use arms, in order that the people may always be in a position to exercise their legitimate individual rights of self-preservation and defense of family, person, and property, as well as to serve effectively in the appropriate militia for the common defense of the Republic and the individual liberty of its citizens;”
Wow, Rolling Stone accepts comments openly. Good on them. So I left one.
