But...The balloons! Who needs a right to arms when we have mylar helium balloons in amusing shapes and bright, happy colors rising up into the crime free sky? Surely the brave release of those noble balloons will tug at the heartstrings of all would-be assailants, and remind them of the precious, precious lives they would otherwise take.
I cannot imagine but that Kansas City, both of them, and likely St. Louis and its environs as well, will experience a precipitous drop in violent crime.
I know! I know! A "gun trade in" where each gun turned in will net the responsible citizen ten--no, wait, this is important, let's not settle for half measures--One Hundred Float Balloons shaped like flowers and kitties.
That's it, citizens! You are all safe now! You didn't need those guns after all, didja?
