Multiple sources have told ABC7 Eyewitness News that police are investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack allegedly because Smollett was being written off of "Empire." [More]Don't think of it as a hate crime hoax. Think of it as bold performance art necessary to focus public attention on the urgent crisis of hateful, racist and homophobic "conservative" white men.
I'd say "Bravo, Mr. Smollett," except I don't want the honorific to be misinterpreted as a microaggression.
