As in: "In the end, Bill did what any honest, law-abiding American would do."
That leaves an "out" to distance themselves from "I will not comply."
I note our "leaders" still haven't said Word One about Project Guardian.

I've had enough with 'law-abiding" - civil rights activists were not abiding the laws of Jim Crow and segregation.

US Revolution wasn't "lawful".
Battle of Athens was against the existing law/law enforcement system.
