They were set to impeach Trump as soon as he announced he was running against their chosen one. When he beat her, the die was cast. Impeachment was gonna happen. Now that they've been beating the impeachment drum for over three years, the only questions remaining unanswered are: when, and on what charges. The answers appear to be: "as soon as possible" and "overcooking a grilled cheese sandwich" if they can't come up with anything more substantive.
So, impeachment is gonna happen. The only thing we don't know is just how many linguini spined Republicans there are in the Senate.
