"Self-defense" only takes us so far. If the Founders had meant to say "A well armed individual being necessary to the security of a free Person," they would have said it.

Additionally, the "dangerous and unusual" argument made my Scalia, was specifically about "carrying" them (i.e. in public), not "Keeping" (possessing, i.e. in the home) them. This is NOT splitting hairs.
All small arms used by an infantryman are specifically protected by the Second Amendment. That is the ONLY argument which should be made.
