Top-5 Reasons I Don’t Support the NRA [Watch]I'm sorry, but I'm three minutes into the goddam thing, I still haven't heard Reason #1 yet, and I'm up to my neck in things. If any of you have 14 minutes to spare, and if you hear anything new, feel free to tell me what he said in "Comments."
More direct and to the point is this blast from the past.

In a nutshell, he doesn't support the NRA because they:
1 – supported the bump stock ban
2 – supported the undetectable firearms act of 1988
3 – don't support open carry
4 – supported the NICS system
5 – supported the NFA 34
Nothing new. Judicial use of the scrubber bar unearthed mentions of NRA's support for NFA, NICS, the Mulford Act, and the bump stock ban.
There's a 50-year-old book called "Gun Control" by NRA past president Robert Kukla which more modern day activists should read. It comprehensively chronicles (press clippings and all) how the NRA went down the garden path of being "reasonable" and "supportive" to Congress when they were busy passing GCA '68... and how the gun-grabbers immediately outright lied to the press about how NRA was being oppositional and stonewalling the process. Over the subsequent 60 years, how obvious it is that the NRA failed to learn squat from history, instead continuing to make this same mistake over and over and over.
