'The Target Now Used by Professionals'
That's the slogan on a full-page ad running in the current issue of Shooting Industry magazine for these.
If the enforcers are going to be conditioned to blow a citizen away, I guess it only makes sense to have them focus on the ones the ubiquitous narrative tells them are the greatest threat. Besides, think of the "progressive" outrage if one were to diversify and become inclusive and vibrant.
Don't want to get them mad-- they might not like us.
This is a job for Thad Kirkland, who values the First Amendment as much as he does the Second!
And in fairness, leave it to the "Only Ones" to make things worse.
UPDATE: I'd forgotten about this, showing it's not Thad's first rodeo.

White-guy pressure groups get no love at all.
Do you remember these folks from only three years ago?

Apparently they didn’t last long, all the links for the group and their petition now go to a repurposed ad page.
I'm reminded of the No More Hesitation product line.
Reminiscent of our old friend MA Rep. Christopher Hodgkins (D-Lee), who wrote the same type of law in 1997, got it passed, and had it upheld by a federal court of appeals.
Unfortunately, Hodgkins' kryptonite was that he was legislatively incompetent. His target banning bill banned anthropomorphic targets only at a certain class of “licensed gun club” of which there were exactly zero in the state (because there was no upside at all for obtaining the license), so it had zero effect.
His other contribution to MA law was a bill “closing the Wayne Lo loophole” — it consisted of adding a condition that an out-of-state resident would have to meet to purchase a long arm, which itself had a loophole; plus, he never removed the original language (loophole) under which Lo bought the gun in the first place. Essentially, he slapped a leaky patch over the portion of the bucket that wasn’t the part that was leaking.
Hodgkins was a classic gun-banner — incompetent, illiterate, and a general all around idiot.
