Truer Words

Keeping vigilant is necessary in both bad times and good, for if we let these rights lapse in the good times, they might never be recovered in time to resist the next appearance of criminals, terrorists, or tyrants. [More]
Fast-track that man to SCOTUS.

He was born in Havana, meaning he's seen what happens, just like Dr. Faria, and unlike worthless recipients who had everything handed to them and are doing their best to kill the dream.

Here is another gem from the injunction on page 118:
"Law-abiding citizens are imbued with the unalienable right to keep and bear firearms along with the ammunition to make their firearms work. That a majority today may wish it were otherwise, does not change the Constitutional right. It never has."

The only issue I have with this ruling is that Benitez states that armor piercing and incendiary ammunition could be subject to government regulation and restriction. Given the leftists propensity for arbitrary defining of words to fit their agenda they could say that anything that can penetrate Level IIA armor is armor piercing.

The Kalifornia AG Xavier Becerra requested a stay on the injunction, but this afternoon Benitez denied the request.

Judge Benitez is also presiding over Miller v Becerra challenging the Kalifornia assault weapon ban.

Well, that didn't last very long. Last night at around 10 PM PST a 3 judge panel from the 9th Circuit put a immediate administrative stay on the injunction after a request from Kalifornia AG Xavier Becerra for an emergency stay. Freedom Week 3.0 turned into Freedom Day.

Funny how the courts can intervene in off hours on a friday night during a pandemic to restrict rights, but never ever to restore rights.
