Any Further Judicial Contortions and They'll Have Their Ankles Behind Their Ears

 The Hawai'i Federal District Court has issued an opinion in Teter v. Connors that guts the Second Amendment. The opinion holds that even if butterfly or "balisong" knives are protected by the Second Amendment of the Constitution, a state law banning any possession, manufacture or transport of such knives is constitutionally valid. This is just in-your-face, and the Ninth hardly fills the heart with hope. Neither does SCOTUS, for that matter, with its inclination to let Intolerable Acts stand simply by doing nothing. It doesn't matter how well-argued and logical a case is, those in "authority" bent on tyranny are not going to relent until there is a credible "or else" attached to a demand to back off.
