And yet, in the few primaries she competed in before dropping out of the race, supposedly due to lack of financial support from donors, Ms. Harris didn't manage to get above 2% of the vote.

We may well see, through this petition, some support for a black woman senator, but we certainly didn't see any support for Ms. Harris. Perhaps being black and female isn't enough. Perhaps she was judged by the content of her character.

Imagine that!
