The survival rate is at least that high because we still have only educated guesses about the number of actual cases. The only hard data we have is the number of people who get sick enough to seek medical care and the number of those who die.
We're told to "follow the science" when the science is murky at best and put out by people like the WHO who are being paid by the Chinese to put a positive spin on their involvement, and by the CDC who are still trying to figure out if eating eggs is good for you or bad for you.
Frankly, when they said eating barbecued steak causes cancer I stopped listening. Could you please pass me another baked potato? Much obliged! Bon appetite!
