No Exceptions

 Contrary to the beliefs of many politicians, there is no provision within the American Constitution that renders its provisions irrelevant if someone says the words “public health” or “national security” or “COVID-19.” On the contrary, the very reason we have a written constitution is to prevent our freedoms from being evaporated every time something unpleasant or alarming happens. Those who run for office to "serve the people" often see the Constitution as something that stands in the way of something they want to do. And it often is. That's the way it, and specifically the part called "The Bill of Rights" is supposed to work. The problem we have is the fraction of them who don't see that as the last word on the subject.
