Both links are to the refutation, not the source of the bad claim.
Note how the public-radio essay migrates from 'gun ownership' to 'gun deaths' with the implication that the first inexorably leads to the second.
The reality? First off, "owners" actually PAID for the gun. But let's ignore the niceties and stip that the crime guns are legitimately 'owned.'
Then there's the question of 'what is 'violence''? Is self-defense 'gun violence'?
And then there's the hidden fact that 5% of the population perpetrate the VAST majority of said 'violence.'
Propaganda Central is the other name of Public Radio.
