We're the Only Ones Winning Enough

When cops and America’s cherished gun rights clash, cops win [More]

Well, yeah, We're generally already home at the end of our shifts, so they get priority.

I had an email conversation with WarOnGuns Correspondent 1Gat about the overworked contention that "most regular officers support the right to bear arms," and I agree with him that such claims don't appear to outweigh the "only following orders" side of things.

There's a way to test that for anyone who disagrees. Simply inform your favorite LEO that you are peaceably bearing arms without a required permit in a "gun-free zone" or show him that you peaceably keep a firearm the government says you're not allowed to have, and you can prove to yourself how supportive he is.

As Steven Crowder says, change my mind.

Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and John Kerry all claimed to do so as well at one time or another. IIRC, Kerry was at least careful enough to append "as it has been interpreted." Presumably the other two had their fingers crossed behind their backs.

Jimmy Carter once said something along the lines of "If being a Christian were against the law, and you were accused of being one, would there be enough evidence to convict you in a court of law?".

Let's apply that standard to those who claim to support RKBA.

Here is my test:

When the Law of Man conflicts with the Law of God ... and Natural Law, then what?

A true Oath Keeper should safeguard our God-given rights over Man.

Unless, of course, there's a hurricane, or an epidemic, or a full moon, or Tucker Carlson said something the night before.
Orders are what the mayor issues. The Constitution is just a heartwarming cultural fantasy, like Santa Claus.
