Yes, in fact, it is.
The aggressor presented an opportunity an assailant who wasn't a total moron would not have. And this happened to be a case where, due to immediately unfolding circumstances, grabbing the gun was the most effective reaction.
Much admiration to the customer who had the presence of mind, the skill, and most importantly, the will to take advantage of that. Most would have frozen, and this looked like the type of situation that would have ended in shots regardless of "giving" the skittish cowards "what they wanted."

The outcome was a good one....and the fact that he was a Marine likely had a bearing on that fact. But he was also lucky. The perp could have just as easily retained control of the weapon and shot the Marine. Trying to disarm someone is ALWAYS a high risk action.
