Developing Ohio Senate Race Shows Gun Owners Must Demand Unequivocal Commitments from Politicians

Here's an idea that’s hardly ever been tried: What about a principled candidate who believes in the right of the people to keep and bear arms and understands why it is critical to freedom? How about someone not interested in “compromise” and who is committed to not just defending against new attacks, but in advancing gun owner entitlements (that’s what rights are, you know) and in rolling back existing infringements? How about someone who knows what he’s talking about, how to advance the truth, and how to call prohibitionists out on their lies? [More]
Here's the field so far, what they say, and importantly, what they don't say...

“If we just keep pushing out to the right and to the left, there’s not going to be much left in the middle to solve the real problems we face,” Portman complained.

This kind of wishy-washy centrist drivel is part of what got America into this mess. What exactly is the “middle ground”? Do people on the “middle ground” have the fortitude to hold positions that one side will label “racist” and “sexist”? Can people on the “middle ground” ever stand up for their own principles or will they get bullied into submitting by media pressure? Does the “middle ground” think “both sides” are somehow equally at fault despite one side having a media monopoly and the other side’s closest equivalent hewing and hawing over Trump? Is there any appeal for the “middle ground” outside of starry-eyed white Americans?

If they put another Portman clone up for vote I won't waste my time .

What an excellent article.

I would love to see this featured at Townhall or the American Thinker.

More eyeballs.

After all, you do not have to convince me.

David,

As for why most GOP'ers tremble at the thought of advocating the RKBA, see what happens here in Virginia to someone who is fearless:

From gun-hating Delegate Mark Levin:

What I ask of people I don't have to convince is to feel free to share my links, including recommending the work to other publishers. See the "Many Hands" gadget over in the left sidebar.
