American Medical Association Language Guide Demands Focus On Racial “Equity” And Micromanages Terminology - The AMA again rejects “equality” in favor of “equity” — The AMA is gone. Its influence needs to be minimized, because much like the American Bar Association, it can’t be reformed. [More]
Wait, so what they have to say about guns may be more about agenda and less about science...?

This will only get worse, most medical schools are basing admission on a host of "qualities" that have nothing to do with academic ability. Find an older doctor.
The American Medical Association has not represented most practicing physicians for years. The last I looked, only around 12% of physicians are members, and that number is inflated by student and resident members. Many of the older physicians who *are* members are in because of some requirement of employment or membership in another organization.
The AMA is fine with this because they have become a very self-selected biased group. As people voted with their feet, those who remained gained greater power, which caused more people to leave, which made this self-selection snowball.
Of all of my colleagues, I only know three people who are members, and two are members out of necessity and hate it.
