I guess the others just didn't have enough fire in their bellies.
The usual suspects are exploiting his "win" not as a repudiation of control freak Democrat incompetence and arrogance, but of the principles that got Trump elected -- so expect to see more "moderate" Republicans try to reconstitute that formula.
As for Democrats, the Old Guard wants to blame the Young Radicals for scaring people. For their part, the new kids are emboldened by their weakness.
And no surprise here:
"But in substance, Democrats see an extremist with softer packaging."
Youngkin didn't want to speak out for us when he needed us. Before celebrating too hard, why not see what he'll do now that he doesn't.
