It's "evolving". Actually it is mutating since that is what RNA viruses do. RNA viruses mutate more than 19th Century Ameriacan railroads went bankrupt. And that was a lot. "They" tell about all the mutations but usually don't mention thst most are changes to the internal structure and machinery. The immune system will probably never see internal changes. The immune system doesn't give a damn if the virus changed from red to blue toilet lid covers in the guest bathroom. The Corona disease was drop dead serious in China. It has had over 100 mutations by time it made it to North Amaerica where it is a "serious inconvenirnce". Europe had a terrible time with the ZCorona due to Naional/socialist medicine which had zip surge capacity. Stuck your motorcycle into an abutment, or the Old Lady got tired of your shit, and stuck a bread knife into your chest, If the hospital was over whelmed and you were turned away, it was a COVID death.
If you have been treated for cancer, a transplant or for a metal or plastic implant, you have to be more careful. Stay away from crowds, mass transit and the local bar/pub. Wash your paws before you touch your face or food. Most at risk, have comorbidities, i.e. untreated medical condition. In Chicago, the website "Heyjackass.com" noted that 95%+ of the 300 deaths (2020, I think) had one or more comorbidities. Talk to your doc or get one. Most risk comes from things like high blood pressure, high blood sugar, obesity, heart failure, etc. Your doc will tell you what, get off your arse and fix it. A neighbor was a "fatso" who hated doctors. They called extra muscle from a fire truck to carry his stretcher to the truck that took him to the county morgue. "Fat" ain't "Juicy", "Fat means you will not survive. The vaccines with all the boosters, etc help some but the big belly will kill you. Fix it!
