I'm guessing some people thought "Never let a good crisis go to waste" was just empty political rhetoric.
It wasn't and and others didn't.

There may very not be any legitimate reasons. But there are definitely political ones. And there are also those who will milk those reasons for as much political advantage as they can while they can. And then lie to the American people about it.
Who just said the pandemic should not be politicized?
