And It's Not Just Trade Practices

A bill in the California Legislature unveiled Friday would do the same thing. But instead of abortion providers, it would let people sue gun-makers and others who sell, make or distribute assault-style guns in the state. [More]

Some are discounting this saying PLCAA will save us.

The same people said the same thing about Sandy Hook, but per Forbes:

"[State Attorney General Rob] Bonta’s office noted ... the federal law does allow for civil lawsuits if the gun maker or dealer 'knowingly violates a state law regulating the sale or marketing of the product' which results in direct harm to the person bringing the lawsuit, and AB 1594 'would create a clear path' to bring litigation under that exception."
