A Matter of Priorities

The current standings over at Examiner:

I can only see the "top five" for national, but also more important than the right to keep and bear arms with the readership, in descending order, is Dog News, Celebrity Fitness and Health, Pet Rescue, America Now News (basically rewriting other people's stories and applying trending keyword meta tags to hitch a ride on the wave), and Arcade Games.

Noting reader preferences for such a powerful technological development that could be used to advance freedom, I'm reminded of a line from "The Time Machine":
These Eloi were mere fatted cattle, which the ant-like Morlocks preserved and preyed upon...
It's something to keep in mind the next time the antis try to feed us some poll about what Americans "think" about "common sense gun safety laws."

Coming Soon, to a Caliphate Near You

The Betrayal Papers will trace the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama administration’s foreign and domestic policies. The five-part series will present a picture of a conspiracy that is manipulating the American government to the benefit of a totalitarian, genocidal movement that seeks to establish a global Islamic State. [More]
Fortunately, instead of having to slog through all this scary unpleasantness, "American Idol" airs a new episode tonight, and we can also tune into "Two and a Half Men" and "The Millionaire Matchmaker."

What's amazing is, in just my lifetime, this has gone from a joke for kids to the national slogan. It is, indeed, "mad."

We're the Only Ones Murderous Enough

I just noticed this from an article I linked to last month about Lobby Day in Virginia:
“We live in a world in which it is too easy to hurt one another, especially with guns,” Midlothian Rabbi Ben Romer told the crowd. “Guns are for killing, not for freedom.”
You're not very well-informed, are you Kapo for Kristallnacht Ben?  And not very smart?

If you have a senator worth approaching. In my case, Brown is a waste and Portman is a pretty consistent disappointment, but maybe if his staffers perceive a groundswell, they'll be cowed into telling him which way the wind is blowing.

Now if only people soliciting our support would create a quick and easy to use form encouraging gun owners with total crap reps to contact (and support) good reps in up-for-grabs states and districts.  And that reminds me, I need to find the time to put together a Twitter list of politicians receptive to gun owner urgings.

In re their form letter, if you don't want to give your real address and phone number, you can always give the ones for your representative's home office.  I also deleted the pre-written form letter and copied and pasted this instead.

That's why this is the most important survey you'll answer this year.
Sorry, Vulcan Chessmaster. It was just a bunch of leading questions with predetermined answers, transparently obvious that the entire purpose was to get to the end where the real business of soliciting funds would commence.

Here are some additional questions you need to ask, but won't, for equally transparently obvious reasons:

Does "amnesty" for millions of illegal aliens by an administration that claims they have "earned the right to be citizens" pose a crippling threat to legislative and judicial recognition of the right to keep and bear arms?

Should any candidate for office (or for NRA director) facilitating that have their score downgraded to the point of disqualification  in order to reflect the seriousness of what they're abetting?

ATF claims Administrative Procedures Act exemption for proposed ammo ban notice

Sean Penn as ‘The Gunman’ reflects depth of Hollywood hypocrisy

“A former Special Forces soldier and military contractor suffering from PTSD tries to reconnect with his long time love, but first must go on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe in order to clear his name,” the IMDB blurb for the film summarizes. Funny: Per the trailer (embedded above), bold Sean is relying on all kinds of guns throughout the film. Doesn't he realize Europe has strict “gun control” laws? Someone has done just that, and all he's gotten from Lector are crickets  -- and we know he's had time to respond, because his profile shows all the other trolling he's done since then.  It's like the guy lives to troll, which makes it more than fair to speculate whose payroll he's on.
