We're the Only Ones Taking Care of Business and Working Overtime Enough
Ware claims that certain Chicago Police Officers have a history of making false arrests because they get overtime pay to attend court, "regardless of the arrests' validity." [More]So why shouldn't they be able to kidnap you? They're not just "Only Ones," they're Chicago "Only Ones."

We're the Only Ones Academic Enough
An officer accidentally shot himself in the ankle at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy Monday morning. [More]I suppose if I pointed out that "negligently" might be a better word, or that this is yet one more example of police not being the "Only Ones" professional enough to carry guns, it would all be academic?
And I guess it's not in the public interest to know exactly who on the force represents a demonstrable danger to himself and others?

A Force of One
Mike Mataria said he hates guns, but a second apparent armed robbery at one of his convenience stores “forced” him to buy one. [More]Actually, Mike, it's the people who hate guns who introduce force into the equation. They don't want you to have a say in the matter, and they're willing to set state enforcers on you to make it so.
As for DA Kochems saying “This owner going out and buying a gun is not helping his employees one whit,” maybe we should apply the same assertion to Mercer County employees--particularly the ones with guns who will be nowhere around just in case any store robber doesn't realize he's only supposed to ply his trade after hours. Which would make him more of a burglar than a robber...
Oh, and Mike? Get those gun lessons. Who knows, you might even find out that a key component of hate is ignorance...

Never missing an opportunity to dance in fresh blood, I see the Bradys are dusting off their old lies. The antis have been after the FN for some time, and the "Authorized Journalists" are either pleased to accommodate, or too ignorant to know how uninformed they are and too lazy to rectify that. I even saw on Faux News a couple days back they referred to it as 5.7 caliber, and I was wondering how much a round would weigh...

So in other words, these stupid gun "buybacks" actually endanger the public rather than make us safer? Of course, the same holds true for expecting people who have not had firearms training to pick up, transport and deliver guns safely. Encouraging that--without question--is tremendously dangerous and irresponsible. This, to me, is an argument we need to use more to monkeywrench these un-American little gatherings.
I also can't help but wonder how many guns were transported in an illegal manner, and whether the "no questions asked" pledge would apply if they got pulled over and had their cars searched while en route to the turn-in?
And how can local police commit that federal law won't be enforced?

(1) who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year...to...possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce." [More]
