It's Not Easy Being Green

"i'm [sic] planning something big around a government building here in Broward County, maybe a post office, maybe even a school, I'm going to walk in and teach all the government hacks working there what the 2nd amendment is all about . . . [Read]

Oh no! Not another violent right-wing extremist!!! Could the SPLC have been right about us?

Relax, it's just another hate-filled leftist loser loon acting out on her projections...

And just in case you didn't know where that Green Party she belongs to stands on "gun control"...

We're the Only Ones Administering Prenatal Care Enough

A pregnant woman in the Philippines has survived being stabbed 24 times in an attack allegedly led by two police officers facing robbery and extortion charges, police said on Friday. [More]
Fortunately, they enjoy strongly enforced "gun control" laws over there...

Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise...

The subjects are arguing succession.

I guess now's not the time to bring this up:
"Of more worth is one honest man to society, and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived."

"[T]he idea of hereditary legislators is as inconsistent as that of hereditary judges or hereditary juries; and as absurd as an hereditary mathematician, or an hereditary wise man; and as ridiculous as an hereditary poet-laureate."
--Thomas Paine
Of cabbage heads and kings...

Dead and Loving It

R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen.

I don't know where the guy stood politically--his brother was a big shot Canadian pol, and being Hollywood he no doubt was influenced by that culture, but he did make me laugh at the "Only Ones"--a lot. He was also cool in "Forbidden Planet," and I'll always remember him as "The Swamp Fox."

Felon laments he can’t vote for gun control

So he can’t control himself and he won’t work to pay his own freight? But he wants to stake a claim on controlling you,  your rights, and how the fruits of your labor are divvied up? [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows how once more, the gun grabbers are allying themselves with criminals to push their citizen disarmament agenda.

‘The Social Contract’ exposes Southern Poverty Law Center

We’ve covered the defamation/conflation angle from a gun owner perspective many times at Gun Rights Examiner. TSC expands that to show how other groups that the SPLC agenda finds convenient are also smeared in order to advance their agenda and bring in the cash. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column notes there's pretty damn good money to be made exploiting hate.

Also see how the guy with taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards thinks you defending yourself is an affront to "the sanctity of life," and determine the type of ammunition that's best for flushing out stuffed bears.

ATF attempting to reclassify small arms ammunition without public input

A “working group” has been established.  A pledge of sorts to “make certain that ‘we get this right’” has been made, and we’re told to expect progress updates.

So: crisis averted, our leaders are on the job and we can go back to sleep now, right?

Not so fast.  Let’s take a closer look.  [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column relates an explosive new development and notes that not all interests have been invited to the table to discuss how the blasting might affect them.

Stewart Rhodes Interview

The Rise of Authoritarianism and How US Law Enforcement Can Take a Stand for Freedom [More]
I know there have been hard feelings vented at Oath Keepers because they don't do what some of their critics expect of them.

I would simply point out that this group has a very specific and limited mission. Getting cops and military to think about their oath and what it means is a tremendously important first step. Get their toes in the pool first...

I know that seems elemental, but it is what it is, and we work with what we've got.

It's up to us to then encourage them--as individuals--into more turbulent waters.  If Oath Keepers tries to do that, it will discourage their recruitment targets from taking a closer look. That makes no sense.

Nor does chasing away people who are coming toward the light but may not have brought it into focus yet.

We can't be everything to everybody. Niches and specific objectives are also important.

I continue to support my friend Stewart and his mission. If that means people will then dismiss me, so be it. If I were  doing this for mass approval, I'd have picked a different topic.

Anti-gun rappers' aim to curb violence off target

Left unsaid is whether the artists will also caution their patrons against the choices and behaviors that practically guarantee perpetuating crime, violence, dependency and failure to future generations. Not to mention the seriously skewed priorities and horizons of anyone who relies on rap for life guidance... [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column takes a freestyling look at false leadership, betrayal, abdication and the futility of wishful thinking that ignores true solutions.
