It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Conservative' Is

Conservative lawmakers led by Thom Tillis are crafting a bill they call the conservative Dream Act that would provide a path to permanent residency to people brought here illegally as children, offering President Donald Trump an escape hatch on one of his most vexing immigration challenges. [More]
Note Tillis wouldn't dare try to answer these questions, and no one with enough reach enough to influence him has incentive to ask him.

But there are plenty with influence on "our side" enabling the sellout, deliberately indifferent to a predictable outcome that will reverse the short term "good" votes.

If the establishment can define a cultural terraformer as"conservative," what must that make anyone who actually does want to conserve a Republic not irremediably dominated by "progressives"? And does anyone think they won't go after Tillis et al. for being "extremists" whenever that tack is the more useful?

Thank goodness none of this has anything to do with that "single issue."

Stuck with the Weasel Whisperer

Tarheel State Second Amendment Supporters Should Trust Thom Tillis With 2nd Term [More]

Not a word about talking out of both sides of his mouth on  "Gun Confiscation SWATing"?

What does Tillis think all those "good" votes he's cast will be worth once he "legalizes" all those "pathway to citizenship" Democrats? I notice that's not even mentioned -- which, considering the source, isn't surprising.

And so by withholding information, what some of us like to call "lies of omission," gun owners are deliberately deprived of information vital to the protection of our rights by the very people we turn to for complete and cogent analyses.

So what do I want? The anti-gun Democrat adulterer to win, particularly with the Senate in jeopardy?

What I want is for national and state gun groups and for "gunbloggers" and "gunwriters" to get their heads out of their be-hinds and honestly address the greatest political threat we face. Had they done that, this fraud might have been primaried by someone who really has proven trustworthy and we wouldn't be stuck with him now.

The Enemy Within

Leading immigration experts say Sen. Thom Tillis’ (R-NC) latest push for amnesty ignores President Donald Trump’s mandate for cracking down on illegal immigration. [More]
OK, Tillis, you get the same challenge no one else has been able to answer:

In addition to explaining the California experience, produce credible data – something that can be independently validated – that “amnesty” and a “pathway to citizenship” for MILLIONS of foreign nationals in this country illegally (and even legally, with current culturally suicidal policies) WILL NOT overwhelmingly favor Democrats and anti-gunners. Show us your sources and methodologies for determining this WILL NOT result in supermajorities in state and federal legislatures that will be able to pass all kinds of anti-gun edicts.

Show us how this WILL NOT result in nominations and confirmations of judges to the Supreme and federal courts who will uphold those edicts, and reverse gains made to date. The sudden passing of Justice Scalia, and the precarious balances of the Heller and McDonald decisions, ought to drive home for all how dangerously critical that is.

Notice I didn’t ask you for platitudes, or for anecdotes about exceptions to the rule, or about who is turning up in increasing numbers at gun stores and ranges – that doesn’t matter if you can’t point to a corresponding overriding shift in voting trends. I didn’t ask for wishful speculation about how education and outreach programs MIGHT help bring more over to the NRA side.

I asked you to show how all credible estimates putting the disparity at over 70% Democrat and anti-gun are wrong (and how the needle barely moves in the right direction after 20 years). If you think that can be changed, you’re going to need to be specific about how (assuming it can be done, which you’ll also need to spell out), and how by then the damage won’t be irreversible, beyond any kind of beltway insider political “solution.”

How about some verifiable numbers to refute my concerns?

Thank goodness none of this has anything to do with that "single issue," right, NRA?

Show us how his "good votes" now won't be erased and reversed by his support for Norquist/Bloomberg cultural and political terraforming.

The Weasel Whisperer

A Weasel Whisperer is similar to a Horse Whisperer except that they interpret the double speak of politicians.  In this case, we have Sen. Thom Tillis talking out of both sides of his mouth about what he calls ‘ERPOs’ so-called “red-flag” laws or what we lovingly call ‘Gun Confiscation SWATing’. [More]
Told ya 'bout this guy. Several times.

With Friends Like These

Republican Senators Marco Rubio, John Cornyn, Susan Collins, and Thom Tillis will attend a Thursday “summit” meeting hosted by the “American Business Immigration Coalition,” a pro-amnesty group consisting of big business donors, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as the George Soros-funded United We Dream organization. [More]

Thank goodness this has nothing to do with that "single issue"!

The Boot with the 'R' On It

Under Cornyn’s legislation, nearly all federally funded schools in the U.S. would be required to install software to surveil students’ online activities, potentially including their emails and searches, in order to flag “violent” or alarming content. [More]
I may just have to enroll in a continuing education credit class...

Cornyn...

As for "cosponsors," I see that idiot McSally is doing her best to make gun owners not see much difference if Mr. Gabby wins. And why doesn't Thom Tillis surprise me?

Better than Nothing

Thom Tillis Announces Justice For Victims Of Sanctuary Cities Act [More]
OK, but I'd still rather put resources into prevention rather than treatment.

With 'Republicans' Like These...

Several Republican Senators Roy Blunt (MO), Richard Burr (NC), Shelley Moore-Capito (WV), Bill Cassidy (LA), Susan Collins (ME), John Cornyn (TX), Joni Ernst (IA), Lindsey Graham (SC), Chuck Grassley (IA), Jim Inhofe (OK), Ron Johnson (WI), James Lankford (OK), Mitch McConnell (KY), Jerry Moran (KS), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rob Portman (OH), Mitt Romney (UT), Mike Rounds (SD), John Thune (SD), and Thom Tillis (NC) all voted to confirm Garland. [More]

Well, that doesn't bode well for freedom. So much for "pro-gun" creds that got several of these frauds elected. I'll be interested in seeing how many got "A" ratings from NRA, and what their NumbersUSA grades are.

And it looks like he'll be directing  DOJ focus on targets other than the communists occupying "autonomous zones" in American cities. Establishment" GOP support for him means they are counting on a government discrediting campaign against Trump agenda supporters.

At least GOA "scored the final vote in favor of the confirmation of Judge Garland as an anti-gun vote."

Alienation

Illegal aliens charged into pro-amnesty Sen. Thom Tillis’ (R-NC) Senate office on Capitol Hill demanding an immediate amnesty for all 12 to 30 million illegal aliens living in the United States, hurling insults in the process. [More]
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Well, it could to one.

Why Sra. Entitled Loudmouth couldn't have immediately been escorted to the border is beyond me.

Anyway, keep alienating. More people waking up can't hurt.

The Usual Suspects

Joining Mr. McConnell in helping the measure advance were a wide array of GOP lawmakers. Votes in favor came from senior leadership figures, like Minority Whip John Thune of South Dakota and Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Barrasso of Wyoming. Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, a former GOP whip, also backed advancing the bill. Others backing the measure included Sens. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Roger Wicker of Mississippi and Susan Collins of Maine, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Joni Ernst of Iowa and Mitt Romney of Utah. A cadre of retiring GOP lawmakers, including Sens. Rob Portman of Ohio, Richard Burr of North Carolina and Roy Blunt of Missouri, provided the rest of the votes.  [More]

GOA wants us to write our senators to either thank them or express our disappointment. I sent mine out of kneejerk impulse and pretty much instantly regretted it since one is a gun-grabbing Democrat and the other is a squish who's retiring and doesn't care.

I wonder how many NRA orange cards will be sent out next primary for the turncoats...

Mueller Backers Should Be Confronted with His Past Hedging on Government Killing American Citizens on U.S. Soil

“Does that only apply to a U.S. citizen that’s overseas, or does that apply to a U.S. citizen that’s here?” Rep. Kevin Yoder asked then FBI Director Mueller about an order from Attorney General Eric holder authorizing the assassination of Americans fighting on the side of “terrorists.”
“I’d have to go back, I’m not certain whether that was addressed or not,” Mueller replied. [More]
This is the guy determining the fitness of others to govern? Not that the power interests and their wholly-owned creatures like Thom Tillis and Lindsey Graham want this exchange remembered...
