Mo' Betta Blues

The ever-propagandizing WaPo gives space to an Opposite Day  "progressive feminist" to justify why she felt compelled to steal Trump signs and deny free political expression to citizens with different views. Or something. [More]

So what else do we know about her?

Per her WaPo bio line, she's a "a writer and publicist living in Falmouth, Maine."

What do you think?

Looks like Betta shut down her Twitter account so people can't tell her what they think of her. But not to worry, the same picture appears here, along with a messaging utility.  I took a screenshot in case that page gets pulled.

Here's the thing about that Maine Public Relations Council -- they claim to have ethics standards:
As members of this organization, we: Operate in the public interest ... Deal fairly with everyone ... Neither create nor operate under a conflict of interest ... Report any unethical or unprofessional practice by another MPRC member to the MPRC Governing Board for potential disciplinary action ... Act in a manner consistent with the letter and spirit of this code and reject counsel to do otherwise.
So if someone contacts them here or here or here, they'll do what, exactly?

Say It Ain't So!

EPA Administrator Says WaPo Lied About Their Disinfectant Warnings [More]
WaPo lies...?

How DARE They!!!???

Titled “Papa Pinochet,” the account hosts numerous memes and statements in support of the deceased dictator. Numerous posts, known on the platform as “Truths,” reference Pinochet’s history of throwing political prisoners to their deaths from helicopters. [More]

What, like the kind WaPo owner Jeff Bezos made money from on Amazon?

I wonder how long it'll take 'em to stop braying about this lame attempt at playing "gotcha"...?

The Gun Control Mentality

So he admits he has no knowledge of the matter, he hasn't even checked it out, yet he is willing to make judgments of others based on his faith in WaPo and Bradys giving him true information on guns.

The national socialists love faith-based know-nothing followers like this--they enable everything.  And when it comes time to accepting responsibility for the destruction, they know nothing.

Halfway Measures

David Mark Williams, a farmer in Halfway, Ore., described guns as “a tool. If you’re hunting or living a rural lifestyle, you’re going to have a firearm.” But Williams, who came to Washington this fall with MoveOn.org to meet with members of both parties, said he resigned his NRA membership after its president opposed stricter gun laws in the aftermath of the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. [More]
Yeah, present a Prozi as a typical "reasonable" gun owner. Using MoveOn shills is an old damn trick, one WaPo is happy to exploit. If I were a gun dealer and this gunkapo came in, I'd tell him to get the hell out of my store.

The bottom line is, nothing will change in terms of reducing "gun violence" because they're dealing with the wrong end of the spectrum. And while there will definitely be new burdens on the "law-abiding," there may also be an unintended consequence that Obama's legal fine tooth combers never thought of. I don't want to say any more just yet, lest they sidestep a pitfall. Depending on what he imposes, I'll either say more about that later or I won't.

A Snitch in Time

Prosecutors are demanding that Facebook hand over data that would confirm the identity of group members and page administrators — but Facebook says those records no longer exist, because it deleted them after it banned the organization as part of an August 2020 content moderation sweep. [More]

I don't get it. Was it the embedded provocateur's day off?

(Note I had to right-click and open the link incognito window to get past the WaPo paywall. You can get basically the same story from other sources.)

This Oughtta Get Some Heads Exploding

Senior ATF official proposes loosening gun regulations [More]
I may have more in a day or so  -- I need to check some stuff first.  A lot of people besides WaPo's award-winning plagiarist have been covering this (Dean Weingarten does his traditional excellent job and even credibly suggests motive) and, being a mere Unauthorized Journalist, I want to be able to add a unique perspective (if I can find one) rather than just reword the work of others.

In the mean time, here's the paper in question.

Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes?

I guess if you ask that question, at least according to the preponderance of WaPo comment posters, you deserve nothing but Alinsky Rule 5 ridicule and "progressive" contempt. How dare anyone propose nutjob radical extremist checks, balances and oversight? [More]

I see a comment like this ...
...and it really brings home that there is no reconciliation possible -- or even coexistence if such creatures prevail.

Because Freedom is Slavery

Gun capitalism — not ‘ghost guns’ or other trends — is to blame for gun violence [More]

Andrew McKevitt and his WaPo amplifiers prefer gun communism.

Lalala he can't HEAR you...

Wearing Their Hearts on Their Sleeves

I noticed the collection of ancillary opinions offered with WaPo's latest bit of wishful thinking.  [More]

They don't feel a need to show even the pretext of balance and don't seem to mind that such an editorial policy is readership-limiting. They couldn't get away with that without their very own Bloomberg sugar daddy, in this case, Bezos, making it the Astroturf News flagship.

All the Moore Reasons

Roy Moore scandal in Alabama might slow Bannon’s insurgency, GOP leaders hope [More]
You know it. And it's the people who trusted him and who want their country back who will be hurt the most.

WaPo went to extraordinary lengths to jump on this story and to present the women at its center -- and their reasons for not coming forward sooner -- as credible. I suspect someone is digging into that to profile them and to reveal what was left out. I also suspect, perceiving more pay dirt, his enemies are already digging deeper and wider.

As an aside, I wish they'd put similar energy into Fast and Furious, instead of ignoring and then minimizing it.

As another aside, I see a lot of Moore apologists knee-jerk concluding this is a hit and smear job of no substance.  We need facts to do that. We need to be the ones who value truth above all else.

He either did it or he didn't.

If we start seeing high-level defections from his camp, it could tell us the people closest to him have not been convinced his principles advance theirs. If he did it, there's no doubt he will have done tremendous damage to "the cause," and no one will be happier than the swamp creatures. He will deserve all that he gets and more, for past crimes and for inducing good people to follow him while knowingly exposing them -- and the country -- to such a catastrophic potential outcome.

If he did not do it, those saying he did should pay for it. In full.

This must be resolved.  Having it hanging over him throughout the campaign will mean one of two things: He will not do the right thing, or the liars will have succeeded.

I just don't see an alternative candidate stepping into this mess, meaning the only "good" way out is total vindication, and soon.

  • More on today's hearings

Join me at 7:00 am Pacific/10:00 am Eastern on NBC 1260 AM/96.1 FM, Scottsdale, or click "Listen Live."

Archives are here.  They're posting by the week and replacing the show at each day's link the evening of the broadcast date--or supposed to be--I'm still banging heads with them over that. And yeah, it's starting to piss me off, too.  Probably a lot more than anyone else.

Spread the word on this, OK? Nobody else is doing a daily exclusive gun rights broadcast in a major market during morning drive time, and if this works, it could not only create an opportunity to spread to other markets, but also open doors for efforts by others.  We complain our voice is not heard in the media--here we've got a foot in the door at an NBC affiliate station to promote a full-blown no compromise message.  Just a few short months ago I certainly would never have predicted I'd see that happen--or that I'd be a  part of it.

Lineup subject to change without notice.

Projection Writ Large

WaPo warns: Come and see the systemic racism of electric vehicles [More]

This calls for communist solutions!

And here I thought they were going to talk about real systemic racism -- and who is behind it...

A Plan Comes Together

The decision to enlarge the polity to include outsiders, even if it changes our demographic makeup and influences future elections, is one the polity makes democratically about itself. [More] (I had to open in an incognito window to bypass the WaPo paywall)

And the more the polity is enlarged with outsiders, the more foreign nationals can be imported to give the totalitarians the power they demand. Hell, get enough and they'll be able to vote to "deport" us!

"To secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" isn't even mentioned by this domestic enemy, is it?

Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

Once More unto the Breach, Dear Friends?

In the Nevada desert, Bundy family warns of another standoff [More]
That's an intentionally sensational headline. You have to get down into the fine print to read:
Bundy, 44, wouldn’t say whether he and his family would encourage some kind of anti-government action over Gold Butte, because “I never say what we will do.”
But WaPo has accomplished its goal to let slip the trolls of misdirection and further demonize "right wing extremist domestic terrorists."

Crunchy on the Outside, Soft and Chewy on the Inside?*

There's the principled image, and then there's the "pragmatist." [More]

If he tries to "broaden his base" by turning to the Dark Side on guns and amnesty -- two topics I don't see in this WaPo piece -- his journey will be complete.  Just keep in mind the people asking us to consider these matters have an agenda of their own, and it's not to do a fair profile on the guy and his views.

The Elefante in the Room

To date, no GOP candidate has explicitly connected mass immigration to restricted gun rights. [More]
That's because NRA and SAF/CRKBA have given them a pass by avoiding the issue, using the "single issue" excuse to keep grades inflated, and by promoting cheap labor über alles cheerleaders like Grover Norquist instead. It's nice to see that a message previously confined to a handful of us lonely and ignored voices in the wilderness is finally getting wider notice.

Adam Winkler and WaPo just handed us a gift. I wonder how long it will be before the people who have allowed this to go on for reasons of self-interest will start raising money off it...?

Split the Difference

NRA Split Over Reaction to Newtown Massacre [More]
So who wanted to offer appeasement? Name and eject the cowards and let them forever be marked.

It figures Mr. & Mrs. Wayne would leave on a $70K Bahamas junket. I'm sure the average members NRA keeps making desperate fundraising pleas to will appreciate spending more on a vacation than they make in a year.

And top-notch flacking, Andrew, explaining Wayne going into hiding when real leadership was needed most as "being respectful of the victims and their families.” You certainly do have a way with weasel words.

I can't access the WaPo story because they want me to subscribe. If they name any of the quislings, let the rest of us know?

UPDATE: The text doesn't deliver on the headline.

Gaining Ground?

Clinton gains ground over Trump in two new national polls [More]
I don't believe it. Especially not after Brexit.

Hey, aren't I the guy who cites polls to make my case on "pathway to citizenship" cultural terraforming?  What gives?

I can't access the Wall Street Journal/NBC poll, but I note the WaPo/ABC poll is of "registered voters" as opposed to "high propensity voters."

I also note media pushing this, including Faux News, a.k.a. the Murdoch Family Trust, is all out for more "legal" immigration and amnesty for the illegals.

I see this as an attempt to inject an unelectabilty / foregone defeatist conclusion into any who would oppose Hillary, primarily to dampen enthusiasm, derail momentum and discourage turnout.  And the not-so-silent partners in this are the establishment Republicans, desperate to regain control from the rebels, and viewing helping with their rout and blaming their rebellion against "experienced counsel" as the best way to drive them humbled back into the fold.

You'll Not See Nothing Like the Mighty Quinn

In her new "spiritual memoir" titled Finding Magic, veteran journalist Sally Quinn, founder of the website On Faith, describes her lifelong belief in the occult and worries that hexes she once put on three people may have worked. The widow of legendary Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, Quinn describes the current environment in Washington more toxic and poisonous than ever before, and the investigations surrounding President Trump as worse than Watergate. [More]
What, you mean like that other story WaPo either wouldn't touch or spent the time it did providing cover?

Jeez, with power to kill like that, you'd think she oughtta have a background check or something.

That occult lunatics like this have a prominent establishment voice sure does lead to some curious corroboration. Now if you'll excuse her, she has a dinner to prepare for.
