'Community Standards' Strike Again

[More -- and NSFW warning if you click on/enlarge this]

I went to the DC Metropolitan Police Department Facebook page looking for a potential photo for an AmmoLand article I'm prepping for publication and came across this. Interesting, that FB said my wishing everyone a contemplative Bill of Rights Day violated its "community standards" within minutes of it being posted, yet this has been up for three days.

I wanted to get this posted before they take it down. I wonder if the Secret Service knows...?

Community Standards

I've been wondering how long it would be until someone started treating the Declaration of Independence as "hate speech." [More]

The "Facebook community standards" excuse reminds me of nothing so much as "ABC family values."

Facebook Censorship Closes Off Information Ignored By Gatekeeper Media

A post had been removed from the Oath Keepers’ Facebook page because of a “community standards” violation. And what was the offense against “community standards”? A poster that makes a true (and importantly, demonstrable) statement about the nexus between citizen disarmament and genocide...[More]
Snitch-driven Facebook censors nexus between citizen disarmament and genocide. By closing off social media to such gun rights advocacy, mass audiences and readerships are limited to what establishment media wants them to know and think.

‘Vindictive prosecution’ subjects self-defense to ‘community standards'

In the doctor’s case, Berberian revealed the standards he wants imposed when he argued Simon sought a confrontation and should have locked himself in his home (presumably making sure he could safely usher his wife in first). Berberian also criticized the number of firearms Simon owned, alleging that showed the doctor was “hypersensitive,” and prone to using unlawful deadly force due to “a victimization complex.” [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report  notes what the doctrinaire monopoly of violence fanatics mean by "common sense gun safety laws." Perhaps a new term to describe the type of society they envision would be "Berberic."

Twitter 'Community Standards'

You're quite the man of god there, aren't you, moron?  How about #wrongswan ?

Does everybody realize "Trump" is an avatar for everyone who voted for him based on his campaign platform?  Guess who they want dead?

Any surprise that @Jack lets this hateful crap thrive while holding "conservatives" to different "standards"?

It's Like There Are Two Sets of Standards

Facebook leaves this up:

And takes this down for a "community standards" violation?  Even after it receives plenty of attention?

He's on his Facebook page now saying it was all sarcasm and a joke, but then again he also posts one of those red circles with the slash over the word "Hate," so we're obviously dealing with an Opposite Day "progressive," meaning the default is to assume he's lying.

Purging the Keeper

In a sign of things to come from the blacklisters in the corporate media, New York Times’ tech writer Kevin Roose attacked Facebook for allowing stories that are 100 percent accurate to rise to “the 10 most-engaged URLs on the platform over the last 24 hours.” [More]

I guess "community standards" don't quite have the same permanence as communist standards.

The Keeper was useful in his time, but now he'll serve the cause better as an example.

'Community Standards' Strike Again

A friend received this notice from YouTube explaining why their censors were limiting who could see his slide show.

We reviewed your content carefully, and have confirmed that it violates our Community Guidelines. We know this is probably disappointing news, but it's our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all.

Talented, isn't he? My guess is it's about what is at 0:29...

But you never can tell what will set the thought nazis off...

The Content of Their Character

White people charged 'reparations fee' to attend Pride event since it's for 'black and brown' trans, gay community — and city officials support it [More]

This sure seems actionable under civil rights law.

And so much for Facebook "community standards"...

Who Wants to Bet There's Not a Republican in the Lot?

The Chicago Police Department carried out several raids overnight after infiltrating a Facebook group where guns and drug were being sold, according to WGN. Dozens of suspects were arrested, including a Chicago Public School teacher. [More]
I guess Facebook "community standards" depend on the community.

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.

'Priceless'

In Solidarity With Transgender People (& Credit Card Thieves?), Mastercard No Longer Requires A Legal Name Or Proof Of Identity [More]
Seeing as how names are now as selectable as genders, I wonder if there are any Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Randall Tucker would deem violative of "community standards"...

The Question of Our Time

Is it OK to be white?

Because saying that it is causes convulsions, mostly among white virtue-oozers, and can get you booted off social media for violating "community standards."

Heck, you can't even make the hand sign anymore. Not without expecting an insane tantrum.

Is it a matter of picking a different adjective, like "acceptable"? "Tolerable"?

I'd like to ask every politician running for office, from all parties, if it's OK to be white and insist on an unequivocal  "yes" or "no" answer without any qualifying weasel-words. I doubt any would.

Alternatively, is it NOT OK to be white?

I ask because I find, through no fault, action or decision of my own, standing in our changing society for "ourselves and our Posterity" depends upon the answer.

Today's Adventure in Child Abuse and Acceptable Community Standards

Those poor little boys don't stand a chance. You wonder where the father(s) is/are.

Why does the creepy chant make me think "We are many" and that there's never a herd of swine around when you really need one?

Mixed Signals

Mention "white trash" here and Facebook tells you you're violating "community standards:

Mention it here, and they want your $ to help promote it:

I wonder if pointing this out would get a post pulled...

Let's Try This One More Time

I typically don't post here on weekends because I am spending needed time with family and also doing behind-the-scenes sausage-making. One post is warranted today because it's:

I'm eager to see if Facebook will shut me down again this year for this poster violating "community standards."

Then again, perhaps this is what did it...?

Today's Low-Hanging Fruit Report

According to court documents, the FBI were alerted to a user on YouTube advocating for violence on multiple occasions for several months. [More]

Of more interest to me is how he was allowed to violate "community standards""for several months."

A Moral Obscenity

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Lest We Forget

Dec. 15 is Bill of Rights Day [More]

I was going to say something earlier but was worried about committing another community standards violation.

Community Standards Strike Again

It linked to "blue check" correspondent Paul Bedard's Washington Examiner report on a peer-reviewed study by John Lott published in the journal Public Choice.

Incidentally, its link appears on a general Google search including on Google Cache, but is suppressed in a "News" search, with an article attacking Lott's work appearing at the top of the page by two "researchers" of undisclosed political affinity that my money says will turn out to be sympathetic to Democrats.

My suspicion is an algorithm went searching to erase it from existence. If this is all it takes to get booted from a personal opinion and commentary blog, everything I post here is subject to being undone and Blogger is no longer a viable platform to publish on. Either that or some troll saboteur complained, and the same applies. Until I see if I can get this reversed, I'm going to need to limit activity here to promoting my articles as I search for a reliable repository for my work.

Remember when Facebook booted a post for wishing everyone a contemplative Bill of Rights Day?
