Lyft Every Voice and Surrender

Cleveland Lyft driver fired for admitting to firing legally-owned gun during attempted carjacking [More]

This surprises who?

She's black and economically disadvantaged enough to have to drive her own car and she just got fired by two exploitive super-rich white boys.  Seems Black Lives Matter ought to have some kind of say in that, or better yet, who do we contact at NFAC now that Grand Master Jay appears to have indefinitely sidelined himself?

Your Disarmament Über Alles

Westlake said he has been suspended from the Uber and Lyft apps. "Uber said, 'until you can send us paperwork clearing you, you’re account is on a suspension.' Lyft sent me a similar letter, saying, 'you may have violated our policies while working under our app.'" [More]
Well that certainly wasn't very hard to predict.

Do You Know Who I Am?

Hardesty is adamantly opposed to the police — except when she is calling them on a Lyft driver who just wants her to get out of his car: [More]

And her sense of entitlement ties up resources that could be needed for genuine life-threatening situations, but then again, commissars always did get special perks over mere proles.

There's Citizens and There's Über Citizens

Maryland lawmaker's daughter using his car to drive for Lyft [More]
Yeah, I'm sure Old Bloody Hands Elijah Cummings needs to worry about school expenses.

In my previous job, I had a company car. Had they found out I let one of my kids regularly use it, especially in a money-making venture, I'd have been fired, and rightfully so.

The other thing this affects is taxes -- I would need to do periodic reports with mileage calculated based on IRS rates and distances and I don't remember all what else,. That needed to be reported to make sure everything was compliant, Uncle Sugar wasn't giving better than he got, and to make sure I wasn't getting any free rides. It doesn't sound like she's been doing this long enough to where an audit would show falsification, but then again, these bastards are so arrogantly unethical, who knows?

If there's not already, there needs to be a hard and fast policy that the people's cars are not to be driven by anyone except the person to whom they're assigned. My question is, there's not already? Really?

And tell me Long isn't an aptronym for this waste of oxygen's record.

We're the Only Ones Uncoordinated Enough

What I’ve learned from Lyft and law enforcement in the ensuing days is that there is no coordinated cooperation over potentially dangerous vehicles. [More]
Sounds like another good reason not to ride-hail.

And it's not the vehicles I'm worried about.

Fortunately, the driver approached this from a community perspective and didn't distress any community members.

Rope-Sellers

Trump's expected repeal of Dreamer program draws fire from business [More]
And to prove their point, Reuters cites Microsoft, Uber and Lyft.
