Altering the Deal

Darth Schumer Seeks to Crush the Gun-Owning Resistance [More]
If we're talking Fix NICS, why not Darth LaPierre?

And There was War in Heaven

“Republican majorities are in the House and in the Senate, and a Republican president is in the White House. They wouldn’t be there were it not for gun owners,” David Codrea wrote on the blog Ammoland in late December. “We’re being asked to help provide cover to rationalize yet another Intolerable Act, and this one with the sanction of our ‘gun rights leaders.’” [More]
It's a shame it takes getting mentioned by a Bloomberg apparatchik to get wider attention that not everyone is in lockstep.

I submitted my comment. Have you submitted yours?

Czechs and Balances

“We do not want to disarm our own people at a time when the security situation is deteriorating. Show me a single terrorist attack in Europe perpetrated using a legally-owned weapon.” [More]
Well that's gotta make softer target populations nervous...

I'm just waiting for Eurorummy Jean-Claude Juncker to sober up enough to call for sanctions.

Fair Warning

“But people don’t read labels! How are you going to make people read the label?” [More]
In a workplace environment?

Every place I've ever worked had policies and procedures that weren't just assumed, but audited for compliance. It's called taking responsibility. To deny things to the rest of us because some behave irresponsibly goes to the core of "progressivism," at least in terms of useful idiot motivators.

But it does make fair the question of how many lives have been "saved" because of forcing cigarette pack warnings on the industry.  Me, I just thank God my last box of cigars warned me of fetal complications were I to be pregnant.

In re the need for warnings in different languages, not if foreign admissions are done right...

What does this have to do with "guns"?
In their lawsuit, backed by CPHV, Dix's parents maintained, among other charges, that the chamber indicator was inadequate because the gun was not inscribed with a warning as well. Presumably, were Beretta to do so, they would still be deemed negligent for not including such warnings in Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese and Tagalog.

Slim Pickings

Commissioner Nash (sunglasses on top of head, tie, second from left) was the lone dissenting vote. [More]
And remember, with "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.

Always Look on the Bright Side

Gosh, a natural ally.

See, this doesn't matter because he's wearing his other hat.

Just like he did here.

Not that it changes anything. Access über alles, eh, Fairfax?

Guess what Grover, LaPierre and Cox won't even acknowledge, let alone address.

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Word 'Flexibility' Is

Flake: I Was ‘Surprised’ at President Trump’s ‘Flexibility’ During Immigration Meeting [More]
Everybody can still get their ankles behind their ears, right?

Good thing a reshaped electorate that ultimately ensures who gets confirmed to the federal bench has nothing to do with that "single issue."

But Don't Just Take My Word for It

The Center For American Progress (CAP) Action Fund circulated a memo on Monday calling illegal immigrants brought here at a young age — so-called “Dreamers” — a “critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success.” [More]
Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

Right?

It's Almost Like There's A Completely Different Agenda or Something

It should be noted that the passing of the legislation would have no measurable effect on global warming. The same goes for similar legislation done at the federal level, according to government studies. [More]
Don't listen those deniers! Give us your money or we're all going to DIE!!!

In related "news," Opposite Day "progressive" Al Gore says cold is the new hot. Y'know, those masseuses he tried to get  to rub one out for him were women in the workplace being abused by a powerful man.  When's Al gonna get the same  #MeToo / #TimesUp treatment as Harvey? After all, aren't all accusers supposed to be believed?

And speaking of Harvey, guess who interned for him. And why did it take that coming out in the news before "Daddy" said a word?

Lifetime Gun Prohibition for Non-Violent Offender Shows Need for Restoration Reform

So now that Republicans control both houses of Congress and the White House, why hasn’t the Schumer obstruction been overturned? Does anybody see any recent movement by any of the major gun groups to lead the charge on this? Has anyone reading this written to those groups or to your representatives about this? [More]
I'd like to say it amazes me that so many who consider themselves "gun rights" advocates believe in their own version of "gun control." Except having seen it so many times before from our "leaders," I would expect nothing less.

Moral Bankruptcy of ‘Progressive’ Celebrity Politics Displayed through ‘Oprah for President’ Push

“[W]e can uphold the Second Amendment and also reduce that violence that is robbing us of our children,” Winfrey declared while advocating for infringements. And to make sure “we” would have the votes, she called for “a clear path to citizenship for the 12 million undocumented immigrants who reside in this country.” [More]
You get a vote and you get a vote and you get a vote!

You'll forgive him if he presumed he'd found kindred spirits...

So "Stoney" isn't an Adjective?

Every time an individual is able to purchase a gun freely, it also creates an illegal weapon that can be sold on the black market.  [More]
What I don't get is, I thought we'd been told the Richmond problem was solved back when they were fixing Philadelphia.

Ah well. Just so they get rid of those statues.

Catch-22

The attorney general’s office counters that, “Turner has not cited any (case law) to support the theory that the First Amendment gives him a right to threaten people passing his home as long as he stays on his property.” [More]
That would be impossible to do, as the First Amendment does not "give" any rights.

You'd think an attorney general's office would know that.

We're the Only Ones Woman Hungry Enough

The former NYPD cop, who spent almost two years in prison on charges that he was plotting to kidnap, slaughter and eat young women, has penned an “extremely violent” horror novel that he hopes will rake in some green. The conviction was later thrown out after a federal judge decided it was all fantasy. [More]
