Aid and Comfort

Thanks to Lois Beckett, Alex Yablon, and especially Massad Ayoob for their help researching and fact-checking this piece.  [More]
Beckett and Yablon, especially, I can understand.

I'm still trying to figure out why someone from "our side" would want to help Vox when he's got to know they will use it to attack RKBA. It is an interesting admission on where they have to go and who they have to ask to keep from making fools of themselves, but I still gotta ask what happened to "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake"?

I never understood "fact-checking" proposed infringements, either. I'd want them vulnerable to challenge, rather than helping the oppressor make them bulletproof.  Case in point, thank goodness no one helpfully pointed out the fatal flaw in Nevada's Question 1.

Excuse me, but you won't shoot me that way, with the safety on.

"Oh, you're right. Thanks."

Shell Game in Progress

The messaging is particularly odd because, while Soros has said he favors stricter gun laws, he has not sunk much into gun control causes in nearly 20 years. [More]
He doesn't have to. He's setting up the system where it will be automatic.

He, and Bloomberg's The Trace, are counting on gun groups being too dumb or too cowed by the prospect of being smeared as haters to make the connection public.

Who thinks Alex Yablon doesn't know that?

Without a Trace of Objectivity

Ohio Wants to Give Gun Owners More Civil Rights Protections Than Gay Workers [More]
What'cha talkin' 'bout,Willis? Apples and oranges (or in this case, oysters and snails)? Gays would have the same protection to have a gun in their car as everyone.

It's telling, seeing the depths of "fake news" these people will stoop to in order to render their countrymen defenseless. No wonder -- look who "owns" The Trace, and by default, "reporter" Alex Yablon:
The Trace is an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan news organization ... Seed funding was provided by the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund and the Joyce Foundation...
That's some "independence"! And he's a "real reporter," too -- unlike us unworthies, his stuff stays up on Google News.

It's a big club 'n all...
